Whoever said that dance music is the only thing that the south has to offer right now obliviously has never heard of M.O.B. (Men of Business). Founded by Lynn "Solja The Candyman" Terry Jr. Sr. CEO of MADE Entertainment and a CEO of SouthLand Records as a child music and entertaining were influential in Solja’s life whether its was a local talent show or entertaining his peers Solja have always led by action, and always been a creative, original, business minded, street smart, intellectual, hard working individual. Solja is an extraordinary writer, deadly lyricist, and excellent business man with the ability and determination to be the best and do the best at all times in any given situation. Solja has many styles and a lot of talent with the ability to produce by structuring and formatting songs. Solja writing skills give him the ability to write strong punch lines, metaphors, and elusive verses, he is a very versatile artists and an undeniable threat in the industry. Solja was born and raised in Starkville, MS “Daville” located in north Mississippi’s Golden Triangle Area on September 29, 1983 to Lynn and Joddie Terry. Solja’s parents worked hard to come form nothing to make a better life for their three kids and to escape the environment of the hood, poverty, and poor living conditions in which most blacks and almost every single African American community in the state of Mississippi are still in to this day, which are filed with criminals, drug dealers, addicts, rapist, killers, and the influence of easy money the street life. The streets in Mississippi are no different from the streets anywhere else the hood is the hood. Solja graduated from Starkville High School and attended North West Community College on a football scholarship after losing his scholarship for being expelled for possession of a fire-arm on campus. In 2003 upon returning to Starkville Solja decided to follow his dream and favorite hobby music, after writing hot tracks such as "Dis Ain't What U Want” for local group PCG which he is a former member of, Solja also wrote "Say It To My Face" for The P.L.U.G. a group based out of Atlanta from different states and backgrounds which was featured on Industry Riots “International Savage Mix tape”. After networking in Atlanta, The Carolinas, New York, Chicago, Louisiana, and Memphis Solja deciding that it was time to return to his birthplace with his knowledge, experience, connections in the music industry and make the dream a reality with four guys who had the same vision, drive, and talent level as his self and form M.O.B.
Members of M.O.B. are Solja The Candyman, Bornsinner, Mpack “Bangz” and Cuzin Neil.
Cedric Glenn “Bornsinner” was born in May 21, 1984 to Stephanie Glenn and David Edwards in Starkville, MS. Bornsinner has been into music his entire life inspired by his older brother Bushae (Sheron Edwards) who was an extraordinary lyricist, songwriter, and musician. Bornsinner was also inspired by artist such as Nas, Biggie, Pac, Jada Kiss, UGK, and Eightball and MJG. Bornsinner has a unique voice, crisp flow, and exceptional lyrical ability which he displays on his first single “PaperChase”. BornSinner is also a CEO with MADE Entertainment and one of the cornerstones on M.O.B. he is a driven, self-motivated individual with the talent and skill to be one of the best. Bornsinner is the youngest of 3 brothers and 2 sisters and he grew up running the streets of Starkville in every hood like most youngsters do getting into trouble and doing dirt throughout the city, basically just being a child from the hood and victim of his surroundings. Bornsinner linked up with M.O.B. May of 2008 and is definitely a force to be reckoned with on the mic.
Ricky Harris “MPACK” aka Bangz was born Oct 11,1983 to Martha Harris and Ricky Harris in Starkville, MS. Growing up on the streets of Mississippi MPACK learn from a lot of older guys in the hood who took him under their wing and gave him the game about how the streets are and music. MPACK is very a creative, charismatic, and animated individual with a lot of energy and talent as an artist and songwriter. As a child MPACK would always find a way to get in somebody’s studio learning whatever he could to become a better artists and waiting for a chance to get in the booth and lace a track. Early on MPACK realized his talent for music and writing catchy lines and choruses, over the years he fine tuned his flow and many styles to become a very dynamic artist and he’s the x-factor in M.O.B. MPACK clique up with M.O.B. shortly after being released from prison, Solja came to him and told him about the movement and ask him to be apart of it because of what he had offer as a artist and the type of talent and determination he has in him. MPACK has work with Milwaukee based artist Koo Kal and released his first solo LP “Quarters and Ounces” on the underground rap scene in Milwaukee, WI. MPACK wrote two bangers for M.O.B. “Move Around” and “Shake Sumtin” which was featured on MADE In The Streets: Hoodlife, he also wrote M.O.B. new single “Where Its At”. With an unorthodox style and a knack for writing bangers MPACK has the talent to do some damage in the rap game.
Neil Anderson “Cuzin Neal” was born July 21, 1987 to Doris Anderson and Curtis Anderson in Starkville, MS. Neil grew up in the poverty stricken projects of Bricks Field Gardens located on the Westside of Starkville, a haven for drug dealers, drug addicts, and thugs throughout the city, but it is also home to many others and being in this type of environment is a everyday way of life. Growing up basically a son t the streets Neil was raised by his self but always lived with his mother who struggled to raise him in such a hostel environment. Neil has a catchy energetic flow with a hood swag that blends well to compliment his dope style dramatic rhyming ability. Neil has A natural talent for entertaining and being in the spot light displaying his ability to wreck the mic on songs such as “H.U.S.T.L.A.” (MADE In The Streets: Hoodlife) and “Where Its At”. With the talent to deliver punishing punch lines and a young fresh and flashy word play Cuzin Neil is sure to shock the world and industry.
M.O.B. currently has one Mix tape LP in the streets “MADE In The Streets: Hoodlife Ft Po Huslas, Nation with production by Big Fruit both of F.T.E., Cadillac Don, C-Sharp (Super Man) and Lil D. The Mix tape featured M.O.B.’s hot sinlge of 2008 “I’m Mean”, club bangers such as “Move Around”, and “Shake Sumtin”, and the street anthem H.U.S.T.L.A.
M.O.B. is sign to indie MADE Entertainment and SouthLand Records and are members of ASCAP sign to Ink Master publishing Co. M.O.B. was also featured on the MoBiz Music Confernce Mix CD with their heavy metal rock-n-rap banger “The Jungle” where M.O.B. display their creative side and the ability to think outside of the box working with musician and rocker “Bryce”. M.O.B. has been together for about a year and has accomplished a lot in a very short time doing shows in the hottest clubs and events in the GTA and throughout Mississippi sharing the stage with the likes of J-Money and Kinfolk Thug to name a few. M.O.B. has very impressive stage presence and knows how to crank up the crowd and bring the fans and listeners in their world while delivery a phenomenal energetic show. M.O.B. has had two singles on power 92’s dirty south flavor show “I’m Mean” and “Where Its At” which is our current single being aired. M.O.B. has also been featured on Phat Pockets blogtalk radio and KWAM 990 on Memphis, TN Underground Xposure, with the right plat form to gain the needed exposure and chance to be heard M.O.B. will definitely shake up the industry and wreak havoc in the rap game.
